Making the Move to a New Business Strategy, Making the Move to i4.0

Over a well deserved Friday beer with friends, one topic seems to come up more than others — how lucky we are to live in this day and age. Some walk down memory lane and remember learning to code on the good old 8-bit ZX Spectrum. Then we recall the beginning of the PC era, the Internet connectivity that followed, and mobile technologies so commonplace today. And now, we find ourselves on the verge of something much bigger than before — we are entering the age of widespread development and adoption of AI. Yes, it’s been 25 years but what a kaleidoscope of technology and progress it has been!

Throughout human history, there were times when the way of life, work, and technology associated with them did not change for decades and even centuries. Our lives, on the other hand, take place in fascinating, dynamic times with countless new opportunities not only for product-based IT companies but for service-based ones that offer IT engineering services.

But only those companies who recognize long-term trends, correctly position themselves in their market, gather and develop a strong team, and offer their customers a unique product or service will be able to make the best of those opportunities.

Jazzros, the company I lead, is going through a series of reforms and transformations over this year. Ultimately, our goal is to become a noteworthy company that provides a full range of engineering and problem-solving services for Industry 4.0 with a strong focus on AI, Computer Vision, and 3D graphics.

It so happened that from the very first day of founding Jazzros, a part of our team has always been working on projects related to 3D graphics, image processing, high-performance computing, etc. A few years ago, we started to explore and use Machine Learning methods and Deep Learning in particular for our projects.

At the same time, the second part of our team worked on projects involving the development and support of web and mobile solutions for e-commerce, enterprise applications, entertainment, and others.

Although we had accumulated valuable expertise in different areas, our overall market position was somewhat blurry and, as a result, we missed out on exciting opportunities.

Part of the new strategy is the decision to focus on our most significant strength — solving problems in Computer Vision with the widespread use of Machine Learning and Deep Learning, in particular, one of the leading technologies driving our world to Industry 4.0.

In recent years, complete digitalization of the industrial world led to significant changes in the way goods and services are produced, allowing powerful customization of products under the conditions of highly flexible production. This transition, named Industry 4.0, has the potential to alter the world’s economic landscape and is as impactful as the invention of steam power, electricity, and computers in their respective technological revolutions.

Our team is already actively involved in this innovative transition as part of our projects. We come up with and develop solutions using digitalization and AI for the mining industry, environmental studies and protection, and manufacturing products using 3D scanners and printers.

We believe that we have found our niche. To reflect our new strategy, we are beginning our rebranding process, which will help us to consolidate our market position, lay the foundation of a strong brand, and ensure better growth in the future.
